Self-care is much more important than you think. It is also a contributor to your health along with physical activity, nutrition, and mindfulness. I’d like to think that self-care activities allows you to be mindful. I say this because in order to overcome your overthinking you have to be comfortable and loving to yourself. The only way to do this is if you take care of yourself inside and out. Your thoughts and mind can become scattered if self-care activities aren’t a priority in your life. Honestly, some of you may not know what self-care activities really may consist of. Well it simply means taking care of yourself. This means your whole mind, body, and spirit. Not just buying yourself things to make you feel good or just splurging on food. It could also mean saying “no” to a favor because you simply want to and feel good about saying no. It is also a way of protecting your inner peace and spirit. There are tons and tons of benefits from participating in self care activities such as feeling happy, free, stress-free, unpressured, relaxed, comfortable, and confident. Those emotions, feelings, and thoughts are to die for and I think everyone wants to feel that way. It just simply feels good when you can take care of yourself and feel what it feels like to do that. Many people do not get this opportunity, so while you can please take care of yourself. Self-care activities should be something you dwell in EVERYDAY. It doesn’t have to be extreme self-care activities, it can be easy simple things. For example, taking a walk or listening to your favorite music. It is almost like catering to yourself, catering to your mind, body, and spirit! Here are some self-care activities I do and some activities that could help you as well!

Self-care activities are the cheapest but most beneficial thing a human can do for themselves. Begin to look at yourself as a priority and do not make yourself wait. Self-care activities sometimes fail because we think that we don’t have time to do it, but we make time to pay bills so make time to take care of our only bodies, minds, and spirits we have. It will feel good especially when they become a routine in your life. It can be so simple. Do not miss out on loving yourself and taking care of you.
